PDF (Tiếng Việt)
During the period 1954 - 1975, under a democratic and open political system, South Vietnam embraced a wide range of European and American literature, as well as literature from both Western and Eastern countries, including Taiwanese literature. Based on the theory of reception aesthetics, this paper presents the various modes through which Taiwanese literature was received in South Vietnam during the period 1954 - 1975. It draws upon existing scholarly works by Nguyen Hien Le, Mai Chuong Duc, Phan Vinh Loc, Nguyen Phuong Khanh, Hoang Diem Khanh, and Dao Trương Phuc… to examine how the reception of Taiwanese literature unfolded in South Vietnam and what significance it held in the literary life of the South. A notable example is the case of Qiong Yao’s novels, which were enthusiastically embraced by the public and became best-sellers in the South Vietnamese literary market at the time.

Minh Duc Hoai Trinh's poetry printed in Bach Khoa Magazine from the perspective of existential theory
Abstract
|
PDF (Tiếng Việt)
Based on the theoretical framework of existentialism, this article examines the poetry of Minh Duc Hoai Trinh published in Bach Khoa magazine and highlights her contributions to urban literature in South Vietnam (1954–1975). In this study, a combination of biographical, systematic, and analytical–synthetic methods has been employed. The research findings indicate that the existential dimension in Minh Duc Hoai Trinh’s poetry emerges from core existential categories such as absurdity, solitude, anxiety, the Other, and commitment. Through an awareness of existential condition, her poetry guides individuals toward the affirmation of a “unique human personhood” in relation to the Other. This distinct existential stance has enriched the landscape of Southern urban poetry in general, and that of Bach Khoa magazine in particular. Accordingly, the article contributes to a systematic understanding of the thematic values in Minh Duc Hoai Trinh’s poetry and proposes directions for further related research.

Abstract
|
PDF (Tiếng Việt)
Responsible tourism practices of tourists contribute to the development of responsible tourism at the destination; however, there is a lack of research conducted to test this relationship. To narrow that gap, this study was conducted in Kien Giang province during the period before July 2025. This is a quantitative study, so a questionnaire was used to collect data with a sample size of 400, and the structural equation modeling (SEM) method was used to test the hypotheses. The research results show that the responsible tourism practices of tourists are made up of economic responsibility practices, socio-cultural responsibility practices, and environmental responsibility practices. All three types of practices have a significant and positive impact on responsible tourism development, with decreasing levels of socio-cultural responsibility, economic responsibility, and environmental responsibility.

Abstract
|
PDF (Tiếng Việt)
The article analyzes the current use of QR codes in payment transactions in Cai Rang District, Can Tho City before July 2025, aiming to propose suitable solutions. A survey of 170 residents conducted in September 2023 was processed using SPSS with descriptive statistics, T-test, and ANOVA methods. The results indicate that age and occupation significantly affect access levels and usage demand. Younger groups, particularly students, show a higher usage rate, while individuals over 50 years old face more limitations. However, once users adopt QR payment, the frequency of use does not differ significantly by gender or occupation. Most users express a positive attitude, showing willingness to continue using and recommending it to others. Based on these findings, the study suggests focusing on enhancing security and safety, expanding QR acceptance points, improving connection infrastructure, simplifying procedures for older users, and strengthening communication to promote cashless payments.

Notably, social and economic empowerment also have direct effects on life satisfaction. The study offers both theoretical and practical contributions by highlighting the pivotal role of women’s empowerment in promoting sustainable ecotourism.
Ritual language and the conceptualization of matriarchy in the worship of Ba Chua Xu: A cultural schema-based approach
Abstract
|
PDF (Tiếng Việt)
This study aims to clarify how ritual language reflects matriarchal conceptualizations in the worship of Ba Chua Xu in Southern Vietnam. Drawing on Cultural Schema Theory (Sharifian, 2011), the paper analyzes vernacular prayer texts to identify three core schemas: role (Mother–Child relationship), spatial (Ba Chua Xu Shrine and Sam Mountain), and interactional (supplication and offering). The findings indicate that ritual language not only expresses religious devotion but also encodes collective knowledge, in which the female deity is conceptualized as both nurturing and sovereign. This study contributes to illuminating the role of language in sustaining matriarchal values and vernacular religious worldviews.

PDF (Tiếng Việt)
Can Tho is the central urban area of the Mekong Delta, where diverse cultural heritage values converge in the process of riverside urban development, and heritage education activities play an important role in improving the effectiveness of conservation and promotion of historical and cultural relics of the local community. In this article, the theory of cultural relativity is used to assert that the heritage education program in Can Tho should be designed and implemented in a localized manner, appropriately to local characteristics, to the interactive relationship among the community, the natural environment and the current urbanization context. Accordingly, the article proposes three groups of solutions to develop heritage education programs that contribute to improving the effectiveness of conservation and promotion of relic values in Can Tho in the context of sustainable development and international integration.
Vietnamese female short stories during the period 1975 - 1985 from the perspective of narrative tones
Abstract
|
PDF (Tiếng Việt)
The period from 1975 to 1985 witnessed a strong turnaround of modern Vietnamese literature, typically expressed in the short story genre. The prominent appearance of female writers changed the artistic tone of contemporary literature, especially in social issues and post-war personal psychology. On that basis, the paper conducts research on three main tones of female short stories in the period from 1975 to 1985, namely: dialogic debate, philosophical reasoning, and sorrowful sympathy. Through the flexible combination of narrative tones, female writers have shaped a distinct artistic style of short stories, contributing to the authentic portrayal of the historical context and the soul of the Vietnamese people in this period.

To contribute to this underexplored field, the present study undertakes a bibliometric survey and content analysis of articles published in reputable academic journals, generating statistical evidence and synthesizing key issues that characterize research on ethnic minority cultural tourism worldwide.
Analyzing parental perceptions and attitudes toward Child abuse in Migrant labor families
Abstract
|
PDF (Tiếng Việt)
Child abuse in the family is a serious social issue, particularly in migrant families who face various pressures related to economic hardship, cultural differences, and living conditions. This study surveyed 151 migrant parents in Thu Dau Mot Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, to assess their attitudes toward child abuse and to propose non-violent parenting solutions. The findings show that most parents have a correct understanding of child abuse; however, some misconceptions persist. Certain behaviors, such as yelling at children, controlling their finances, or isolating them, are not always recognized as abusive by some parents. Based on these results, the study recommends raising parents’ awareness through community communication programs, providing psychological support for parents, and promoting behavioral change to reduce the risk of child abuse within families.

Abstract

PDF (Tiếng Việt)
In the digital era, mass media play a vital role in social life, particularly in the dissemination and preservation of traditional family cultural values in Vietnam. Through the use of multimedia communication technologies, the media has generated significant social effects—spreading, orienting, and shaping public opinion—while influencing the perceptions, attitudes, and behaviors of the broader community. It also expands individuals' freedom to search for, receive, and reflect upon information. At present, preserving the beauty of the Vietnamese family value system is considered one of the foremost goals in the process of building socialism in the country. To convey and promote these values, the role of multimedia communication is consistently emphasized and highly regarded. Within the scope of this paper, the authors analyze the importance of multimedia communication in promoting Vietnamese family values in the Mekong Delta and propose several potential solutions.
